Who is the target audience for your website?
Individuals and companies needing optical expertise intensively for a limited period of time, or can't justify a full-time professional. They may wish to maximize the speed and responsiveness of the technical expert on a project or require special expertise that is quite rare and it takes longer to develop than they can wait. Perhaps they would like another opinion on a crucial matter.
What is the advantage of your website over others?
This site gives a great deal of information regarding what to expect from a technical consultant in optics. It includes a FAQ regarding the process used to design and build products based on optical technology. Further it includes a set of useful links to professional societies, standards, software resources and even competitors.
Why did you use this Sandvox design?
The Sandvox Aqua design gave the closest design in look and feel to the intended site design and "look and feel."
What techniques did you use to build this website?
Graphics came from very many sources, formats and even over time. I converted the vector graphics to JPEG and manipulated these using Adobe PhotoShop and Lightroom. The Media Browser's hooks into Adobe Lightroom were particularly useful for formatting and inserting graphics and diagrams into the site's pages.
