Describe your website.

To display and comment on the favorite maps in my collection

Who is the target audience for your website?

Students of history, geography, cartography, and exploration

What is the advantage of your website over others?

It contains images and a synopsis of famous old maps that are difficult to find in one location.

Tell us a story about this website.

Originally launched in 1994, this is finally a website that I can control/update easily. For 20 years I was unable to update/correct the site. The original site has been (and still is) generously hosted by Henry Davis, but I could not correct or update it. Thanks to Sandvox and A2Hosting, I now can update the site easily and quickly.

Why did you use this Sandvox design?

For its attractive and clean look

What techniques did you use to build this website?

All of the content shown on my site was developed for six book volumes, which were developed in MS Word, converted to .pdf and easily imported to Sandvox. All of the cartographic images were also easily imported (drag & drop).

This website was created by Jim Siebold of Oviedo, Florida, USA.
