Who is the target audience for your website?
Rock, gem, mineral, and fossil collectors regularly use our website. We also receive lots of inquiries from educators as well as professionals.
What is the advantage of your website over others?
Our website seems to be the most comprehensive and accurate source of information about rock, gem, mineral, and fossil collecting in America.
Tell us a story about this website.
Through our comment field, we've met some interesting, thoughtful people. They often state that our website has helped them - but, their comments really make it our pleasure.
Why did you use this Sandvox design?
We liked the simple look and colors. We wanted the website to be readable for a wide audience - children, adults, seniors, etc.
What techniques did you use to build this website?
Prior to building the website, we used a whiteboard to write down the various ideas we had for the site and to develop an organization plan - in advance. That allowed us to provide a common look and feel for the site and also helped make it easier to undertake such an ambitious project - e.g., separate pages for fifty different states.
